Campaign Expert Says Leni Robredo “Will Lose” By A Landslide If Elections Held Today
ROBREDO WILL LOSE – According to a social media and branding campaign expert, Leni Robredo will lose “BIG TIME”.
But, that’s if the elections were held today. According to the expert, the reason for her loss is how she is sold to the public. In a Facebook post, Nel Joseph Mozol explained that politicians could be equated to products and the voters the customers.
Furthermore, he said the Robredo and her camp were wasting the Vice President’s potential to rack in votes. “It is just too frustrating that a competent candidate has never found footing on how she should be sold“, he said.
Interestingly, he explained his logic by going back 300 years. Mozol highlighted how the Philippines has been under the rule of colonizers for centuries. As such, the Filipino people were used to “strict rules, bombings and abuse”.
So, at this point, what do the Filipino need? – a hero. This was the main point of his post. Among the best examples for this was how Noynoy Aquino and Duterte won their respective presidencies.
Both PNoy and Duterte were viewed as a “heroic figure” that promised to save the Filipino people from misery. Back in his term, PNoy’s campaign focused on the “Kayo ang Boss Ko”. Meanwhile, Duterte got massive support from VisMin due to his portrayal as a simple province leader hoping to change the country.
Taking all of this into account, how does Robredo’s campaign hold up? Currently, Leni’s campaign is focused around #LabanLeni. However, we need to dissect what exactly that represents.
Additionally, supporters of Robredo continue to post her credentials on social media. But, it seems like the approach isn’t as effective as it was hoped to be. Mozol explained that the issue with Robredo’s campaign starts there.
THE ISSUE WITH ROBREDO’S CAMPAIGN
“Let’s get this out of the way – nobody cares about credentials. That’s only good for student council elections. We have elected athletes, artists, and obviously unqualified politicians. Let’s stop the delusion that lawyers are better.”
Still, Robredo’s campaign hasn’t “officially” started and things could easily change. However, with the current political landscape, Robredo is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Following her statements against Isko and her long-running opposition to the Marcoses, Robredo is facing enemies on all fronts. But now, we’ll have to wait and see what direction the presidential candidates campaigns go.
