Cast of KathNiel series revealed
Here are the cast members of the upcoming KathNiel series of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla titled 2 Good 2 Be True.
Kath and DJ‘s last series was La Luna Sangre in 2018. That is the reason why fans have been anticipating their reunion project. Based on a previous report, the real-life sweethearts refused to do an action series and they specifically requested that tjehy will do a romantic-comedy. In a video posted on the Instagram account of RGE Drama Unit, Kathryn said that the last one they did was a fantasy-action series, that is why she and Daniel wanted to do a light one for their new project together.
“Tinanong kami kung anong gusto naming gawin project and sinabi namin ni Deej na gusto talaga naming gumawa ng parang romcom. Kasi ‘yung last serye namin was La Luna Sangre and ‘yun medyo fantasy-action siya. So sabi namin, siguro ‘yung mga fans lalo, ‘yung hinihiling nila is to see us parang gumagawa ng light na feel,” the actress shared. She also said that they are excited about this.
However, she stressed that viewers will still learn lessons from their series. Daniel expressed gratitude for having the chance to work with artists from different generations. He said that it is an honor for him to have this opportunity. Kathryn is also thankful for this beautiful project.
Based on the article in PUSH, the cast features veteran stars Ronaldo Valdez, Gloria Diaz, Irma Idlawan with Smokey Manaloto, Gelli de Belen, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cris Villanueva.
For the younger cast members, there are Alyssa Muhlach, Jenny Miller, Yves Flores, Gillian Vicencio, Matt Evans, Pamu Pamorada, Bianca De Vera, and Kristel Fulgar. The new KathNiel series is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar who also directed Kathryn and Daniel in movies such as Crazy Beautiful You in 2015 and Can’t Help Falling In Love in 2017.
