Maja Salvador new Eat Bulaga Dabarkad revelations about noontime show

Maja Salvador is now part of Eat Bulaga

Her Majesty Maja Salvador is the newest addition in Eat Bulaga’s Dabarkads and she has this revelation about the longest-running noontime show in the history of Philippine television.

The actress-dancer started her career in showbiz as part of Star Magic. However, when Johnny Manahan or Mr. M, the former head of the talent management firm of ABS-CBN accepted a project in TV5, she joined him.

Maja also established her own talent management company, Crown Artist Management, and continued to do projects in the Kapatid network. She currently has a series airing on TV5 titled Nina Nino, as well as the talent search POPinoy.

Despite these shows in the Kapatid network, Maja Salvador has been rumored to be crossing over GMA-7. The rumors started to surface early this year. However, her camp was silent about this and people from the Kapuso network has not divulged anything solid about this matter.

Then, before September ended, Eat Bulaga teased about having a new addition in Dabarkads and it was easy for the fans to guess that it was Maja. Indeed, on the October 2 episode of the Kapuso noontime show, the actress-dancer was launched as part of their family now.

She will be hosting the segment DC 2021 that intends to reintroduce the classic dance hits to the new generation. After her dance production number, she was officially introduced by EB hosts Allan K, Jose Manalo, and Ryan Agoncillo.

Then, a short interview took place in which Maja Salvador revealed that since her childhood, she has been a viewer of the noontime show. The actress-dancer also revealed that the opening line of EB’s theme song, “Mula Aparri hanggang Jolo,” was striking for her because she grew up in Aparri.

“Sa mga hindi po nakakaalam, e, laking-Aparri talaga ako. Noong ipinanganak ako after ilang buwan, inuwi ako sa Aparri ng nanay ko, ‘tapos doon namulat ang aking mga mata sa Eat Bulaga!” she enthused.

As a young avid viewer of the noontime show and who also loves to dance, she admired the 90s dance group Streetboys. Maja would call them “Yung mga tuma-tumbling.” Maja Salvador also revealed that her mother wanted her to join Little Miss Philippines but they did not have the financial means to go to Manila and so just became the Miss Abulug. The actress-dancer shared that her mother has been wishing that she would dance again.

“Yung nanay ko pala talaga birthday niya today. Ma, Happy Birthday! O, ito na yung regalo ko sa ‘yo, ha! Sabi niya kasi, ‘Nami-miss na kitang makitang sumayaw.’ Ang tagal na rin kasi, so sabi ko, ‘Ma, kinukuha ako ng Eat Bulaga!, parang, di ba, nanonood lang tayo ‘tapos ngayon magiging parte na ako ng Dabarkads,” Maja shared.
