‘Pasabuy’ cast talked about Xian Lim as their director
How was Xian Lim as a director? This is what the cast members of the WeTV romantic-comedy series Pasabuy revealed about him.
Aside from being an actor and a singer, Xian also ventured into directing. His most recent project is a six-part series featuring the tandem of Heaven Peralejo and Gino Roque. He also wrote the story.
Based on the article in Inquirer Entertainment, the cast members were asked about their director during the recent virtual media conference. Heaven said that their director was on top of everything as he is also making sure to check everyone’s sanity during the lock-in taping.
Xian Lim would always have a “pasabog” every night after their long taping days. “After work, Direk Xian would do something to make sure that we would end our day well and with smiles on our faces,” Heaven Peralejo said.
Nana Silayro elaborated by saying that their director would do a raffle every night. “I remember the first time I learned of this ritual. I was about to go to sleep when I heard him announce loudly, ‘our first winner…’ I ran out of my room, in my pajamas, because I had wanted to win. I never won anything, but that made our lock-in shooting so much fun,” the actress enthused.
For Gino Roque, Xian Lim is not just a director as he also became a mentor to the newbie actor. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate revealed that their director would teach him things in order to improve his acting.
Gino said that even though it is not a part of Xian’s job description to give him advice, still he did that out of generosity in sharing his work experience with a newbie like him.
Pasabuy has started streaming on September 24 and it is about two individuals who tried to escape their real lives by heading out to a beach resort. The characters of Gino and Heaven at a community chat room after placing their orders for “pasabuy” when the lockdown happened.
