Neri Naig Fulfills Promise To Scammed Couple in Cebu

NERI NAIG – Actress turned-entrepreneur Neri Naig has kept her promise to the bride who was scammed by the wedding coordinator in Cebu.

On Thursday, September 23, a video of a bride named Cherry Pie Purisima crying on her wedding day went viral on all social media platforms. She and her partner Arniel Satingasin were allegedly scammed on their wedding day.

After their church wedding in Minglanilla town, they arrived at the venue of their reception only to be told that there’s no event that had been booked. The special day of the couple ended in a nightmarish experience.

The issue took another twist after the wedding coordinator identified as Nasser Fuentes tried to take his own life after scamming the newlywed. Cops said he was taken to a hospital and was seen in a wheelchair while being treated.

Former actress and entrepreneur Neri Naig reacted to the viral video of the bride. She said it breaks her heart to see what happened so she offered to host the couple’s reception at her Korean restaurant in Cebu. She told them, however, that the restaurant can accommodate around 20 people due to dining restrictions brought by the coronavirus pandemic.

Neri Naig said they will also shoulder the wedding cake as well as the emcee for the event. She assured Cherry Pie Purisima that what she offered are for free.

Chito Miranda’s wife recently revealed on IG that her business partner in Cebu already met with the couple. She said she’s excited for the newlyweds, especially for the bride.

“Deserve ng lahat ng kababaihan na maging mala prinsesa sa kanyang kasal. Minsan lang ‘to! Syempre ang pinakamahalaga yung nagmamahalan sila ng kanyang kabiyak. Simple man ang reception o magarbo, ang importante ay kung ano ang laman ng kanilang mga puso.”
