John Lapus shared this intriguing post
Actor-director John Lapus appeared to have posted this “patutsada” against Senator Manny Pacquiao who recently announced that he will be running for President in the 2022 elections.
The boxer-politician is one of the political personalities who had an early announcement regarding their plan for the next election. This announcement received various reactions from the voting population. There were those who rallied behind him while some expressed that he is not fit for the position.
On the other hand, there were also those who recalled his past statement about marriage between two persons who belong to the same gender. The members of the LGBTQ community recalled what he said back in 2016 when he was serving as Representative Saranggani.
Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Pacquiao said, “Mas mabuti pa yung hayop, marunong kumikilala kung lalaki o lalaki, [kung] babae, babae. Oh diba? Ngayon kung lalaki sa lalaki o babae sa babae eh mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao. Ang hayop lang, hindi talaga puwedeng magsama ang lalake sa lalake.”
However, in a recent interview on Toni Gonzaga’s Toni Talks vlog, the Senator said that he is not in the position to judge the members of the LGBTQ community and that there are also gay people in their family and in his staff.
John Lapus, being one of the members of this community, shared this post on Twitter. Although he did not mention the name of Senator Pacquiao it was quite obvious as he mentioned “Masahol pa sa Hayop”. “Mga bakla! Wag kalimutan, sinabihan tayo nyan ng ‘Masahol pa sa Hayop,'” the actor-director wrote. Several netizens who commented on this post of John agreed with what he said.
Amid the mixed reactions that the Senator got after his announcement, his wife Jinkee Pacquiao showed support for him in his aim to be the next President of the Philippines.
