Elephone U2 is powered by Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 (16 nm) processor coupled with ARM Mali G72 MP3 graphics processing unit (GPU). It runs on the Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system. It is packed with 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options while the internal storage has 64 GB and 128 GB options. The storage option can be expanded up to 256GB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot.
The rear camera of Elephone U2 consists of a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel with features like exposure compensation, face detection, geotagging, HDR, and ISO Settings. On the front, the device offers a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel pop-up camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls.
Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, gyro, fingerprint, compass, accelerometer, and light. It also features USB Type-C 2.0, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and NFC.
