Cancer-Stricken Dido de la Paz Asks for Help amid Family Struggles
DIDO DE LA PAZ – The actor revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer and he asked for help on social media as he and his family struggle.
Undeniably, most people see showbiz celebrities as among those who earn big and those who live a very comfortable lifestyle. On the other side, it is no secret to the public that they also toil a lot for what they have. They even turn nights into days working for their projects.
However, truth be told that not all in the showbiz industry are well-off in life. Some are just starting in their career while others lost their career. There are also those who don’t receive many offers and have decided to turn to other fields. Thus there are cases when celebrities would be spotted in a different scenario.
Recently, one celebrity, a character actor, asked for help on social media. Dido de la Paz was part of some projects but he’s been away from showbiz for quite a while now.
Speaking to Pep, Dido de la Paz revealed that he was diagnosed with malignant adenoidal cancer. It usually develops in the salivary glands or other parts of the head or leg.
According to Dido, when he posted “Saklolo” on social media, he was really desperate. He revealed that they no longer have food supply and there’s no one to borrow money from anymore. Supposedly, he was set to get a little amount from work but he was not paid.
Dido de la Paz was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and it was not treated since the diagnosis. He cannot focus well and his body is also getting weak because of his disease. According to the actor, he has his 95-year-old mother with him and his children might also stop from schooling as he can no longer afford to pay for their studies and their utility bills.
“Pakiramdam ko, gumuho yung mundo ko at nag-iisa ako sa problema ko,” the actor said based on the article.
According to Dido, some of his friends responded and sent him money which he can allot for their food. He expressed that he is ashamed of his situation now but stressed that his pride won’t do anything.
On September 13, Dido will be celebrating his 65th birthday. The actor’s birthday wish is for everyone’s life to get easier.
