His arrest was initiated after the warrant for his arrest was signed by Hon. Noel Darren C. Damian, presiding judge of Branch 26 of the Regional Trial Court in Argao and was served by Dalaguete police. The radio commentator is now facing child abuse charges.

The 27-year-old boxer was accused of abusing a 14-year-old female in their area in Cebu City. Nena (not her real name) filed a complaint alleging that Paraga entered her room and done obscene things to her.

Pagara was eventually apprehended and taken to the police station by barangay tanods (watchmen). Pagara is being imprisoned at the Pardo Police Station, where he is attempting to take his own life with a shoelace tied around his neck but was prevented by his fellow inmates.
