Radio Commentator in Cebu Faces Child Abuse Charges Over Harassment
Local authorities of Cebu arrested a radio commentator for alleged harassment of a minor and faces a child abuse charge.
A radio commentator from a local radio station in Cebu was detained for allegedly being accused of harassing a minor victim, according to a report by Cebu Daily News Digital. Leonard Asuque, 39, was recognized as the suspect by the authorities.

His arrest was initiated after the warrant for his arrest was signed by Hon. Noel Darren C. Damian, presiding judge of Branch 26 of the Regional Trial Court in Argao and was served by Dalaguete police. The radio commentator is now facing child abuse charges.
Meanwhile, professional boxer Albert “Prince” Pagara was also charged with Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) and Republic Act 9262 (Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004).
The 27-year-old boxer was accused of abusing a 14-year-old female in their area in Cebu City. Nena (not her real name) filed a complaint alleging that Paraga entered her room and done obscene things to her.
Pagara was eventually apprehended and taken to the police station by barangay tanods (watchmen). Pagara is being imprisoned at the Pardo Police Station, where he is attempting to take his own life with a shoelace tied around his neck but was prevented by his fellow inmates.
