Manny Pacquiao received this advice from Mommy Dionisia
Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao has this advice to her son boxing champ Manny Pacquiao after his recent loss to Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas.
The whole Philippines once again awaited the boxing match of the Pinoy boxing champ who is also one of the Senators of the country. However, many fans were brokenhearted after the game as Manny was not able to win against his opponent.
On the other hand, based on the article in Bandera, Mommy Dionisia said that she is not actually saddened by the loss of her son.
As translated to Filipino from Cebuano, Mommy D said, “Hindi ako nalungkot kasi sa ganiyang laban, may nananalo at may natatalo, ‘di ba? Hindi naman palaging panalo.”
The mother of the boxer-turned-politician was also asked if she still wants her son to continue his boxing career after he was defeated by Ugas.
“Magreretiro na siya. Sinabihan ko dati nu’ng nanalo siya na magretiro na siya. Ayaw niya. Siguro, saka na lang kung natalo siya. Ngayong natalo siya, magreretiro na siya,” Mommy Dionisia said. She also said that the fact that Manny was defeated means that he already has a “katapat” in the boxing arena.
After the match, Manny Pacquiao apologized to Filipinos for he wasn’t able to win the boxing title. When asked if he still wants to fight in the future, he said that he does not know yet.
“Let me rest first, relax and make a decision if I will continue to fight or not,” the Pambansang Kamao said. Regarding his future political plan, whether he will run for President or not in the 2022 elections, the Senator said that he will announce his decision next month.
Meanwhile, his wife Jinkee Pacquiao wrote a sweet message for him on Instagram as a show of love and support despite the result of the match.
