Kiwi Popstar Lorde Goes Blonde For “Mood Ring” Music Video
LORDE – New Zealand’s biggest pop star Lorde debuted platinum blonde hair in the music video for her latest single ‘Mood Ring.’
Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor or better known as Lorde is a New Zealand singer-songwriter. She has two Grammy under her belt for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year of her hit song “Royals” in 2014.
The 24-year-old singer is known for using lyrics that exhibited a mature and jaded worldview and for her unconventional musical style. Her music is primarily electropop.
Lorde appeared in Time magazine’s list of the most influential teenagers in 2013 and 2014. She was also featured in ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ in 2014. Fans have long been waiting for her to come out with her 3rd album after “Pure Heroine” (2013) and “Melodrama” (2017).
Last May, the singer announced that her third studio album “Solar Power” will be released in August. She previously shared that the inspiration for the album title came to her on a trip to Antarctica in 2019.
“I actually decided on the album name right around that trip…Just coming back from that trip I thought: ‘This is what it is,’” she said.
In June, she released her song ‘Solar Power’ with a music video. The song sounds tailor-made for chilling on the beach.

On Wednesday, Lorde released another track on her Youtube channel days before the release of her much-awaited album “Solar Power.” The Kiwi singer went blond in the music video for ‘Mood Ring.’
It is the 3rd track released by the singer from her upcoming album after “Solar Power” and “Stoned at the Nail Salon.” The video opens with a message to its viewer: “Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.”
In a canopy tent, the Kiwi pop star, now donning blonde hair. She’s surrounded by a circle of women in color-coordinated mint green outfits.
