What’s the story behind the dance scene of Daniel Padilla in this movie?
Actor Daniel Padilla had a dance scene in the movie She’s Dating The Gangster with his real-life girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo and here is the story behind that.
The said movie is just one of the hit projects on the big screen that the reel and real-life sweethearts did. It was released in 2014 and was directed by prominent filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Recalling the secrets behind the filming of this movie, associate producer Leo Garcia revealed something about the dance scene of Daniel Padilla, based on the article in Abante Entertainment. Aside from being an actor, the son of Karla Estrada and Rommel Padilla also sings.
However, it is known to many that he is not comfortable dancing in front of the camera. Despite his shyness to showcase his dance moves, he eventually agreed to do the dance scene in the movie.
“Pinaka-trivia talaga, ayaw ‘di ba ni Daniel magsayaw. Hindi talaga siya pumapayag, Ang ginawa naming, kailangan sumayaw lahat ng staff, pati si Direk Cathy sumasayaw para lang siya sumayaw,” the associate producer revealed.
With this, Direk Cathy said that it seemed like Daniel has already killed her in his mind because of the things she made him do in the movie. The director added that indeed the actor does not want to dance in that kind of situation and she made him do it not just once but twice for his characters Kenneth and Kenji.
“Ang sabi ko, ‘Ay kailangan ko ‘to. Ang cute-cure mo kayang sumayaw’. Totoo naman, he’s very graceful,” Direk Cathy said.
Daniel Padilla said that even though he was very hesitant at first, he still did it because the scene required him to do it. He said that the fact that he enjoys what he is doing and that he trusts Direk Cathy, he was encouraged to do the dance scene.
