Cult Attack in Davao Oriental Jail Flees 7 Inmates while 1 Suspect Killed

Seven (7) inmates escaped from Davao Oriental Jail while one of the suspects died after the attack of armed men allegedly by a cult.

According to reports, armed men recently attacked the Davao Oriental Provincial Rehabilitation and Reformatory Center in Mati City, Davao Oriental. Seven inmates fled during the raid, and a jail guard on duty has slain one of the cult members who allegedly attacked the jail.

According to a report by Super Radyo and Dobol B TV, the armed men were members of the Pinatikan religious cult, who attacked local officials and assisted their fellow cult members to flee. Seven inmates fled, including Cornelius Galon III, the cult’s leader.

According to the Mati City Police Office, jail guards killed one of the armed group’s members. Galon was arrested for breaching Presidential Decree 1866 and Republic Act No. 9516, which prohibit the illicit manufacturing, sale, acquisition, distribution, importation, and possession of explosive devices, according to police records.

Dominador Lintuan, Laudeco Lintuan, Sugaan Gil, Arjowe Lintuan, Ranjay Baluro, and Inabitan Ismadi were the other six escapees, according to police. Arjowe M. Lintuan, Dominador A. Lintuan, and his brother Laudico were accused with violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to records from Mati City’s Regional Trial Court.

Ismadi, on the other hand, had previously been accused of attempted homicide. The escapees and other members of the cult are currently being pursued by Mati police and military forces.
