Here’s what Paolo Valenciano said about Julie Anne San Jose
Prominent concert director Paolo Valenciano, the eldest child of Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, said that Kapuso singer-actress Julie Anne San Jose can do more than his dad.
Julie Anne has proven her versatility not just in acting but also when it comes to performing on stage. Working with her, Paolo realized that she can do beyond what she has already shown.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, while conceptualizing the Limitless musical trilogy of Julie Anne, Paolo and his team were able to come up with the perfect description for the Kapuso artist.
Previously, Julie Anne San Jose is known as “Asia’s Pop Diva” and now she is being tagged the “Limitless Star”. Paolo said that he has already worked with all the artists in the industry like Regine Velasques, Darren Espanto, Christian Bautista, and Alden Richards.
In his work, the concert director always has a standard and it is his father who is an OPM icon. “My standard has always been Gary V. That’s why I give a lot of these artists a hard time when I conceptualize things for them. It’s always Gary V. Gary V is the standard. That should be our goal,” he said.
However, after researching about Julie Anne San Jose from the time she started until the recent projects that she has done, Paolo said that she is more than Mr. Pure Energy.
“When I really researched her history, kung ano yung mga ginagawa niya when she first started, and all that, I was just like, ‘Wow, this girl can actually do more than my dad’,” the concert director said.
He added that Julie Anne San Jose seemed to have no limitations and so they came up with the Limitless title. With this statement from the concert director, the Kapuso singer-actress said that there is no comparison with Gary V.
She said that the OPM icon is one of her musical influences and that she really does not know what to feel about the statement of Direk Paolo. Julie Anne added that sharing her talents and skills with others is already enough to make her happy.
