The LG Velvet 5G UW was announced on August 19, 2020, and released on August 21, 2020. The 5G-ready smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765G 5G Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 620.
LG Velvet 5G UW runs on the Android 10 (upgradable to Android 11) + LG UX operating system. The device is packed with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It also supports expandable microSD storage up to 2TB.
The dimension of the device is 167.2 x 74.1 x 7.9 mm. It comes with a screen size of 6.8 inches P-OLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels.
The rear camera of the LG Velvet 5G UW consists of a 48-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (depth) with features like HDR, panorama, and LED flash. On the front, there is a single 16-megapixel (standard) camera.
Connectivity options on the device include NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, USB OTG, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, Bluetooth 5.1, and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Its sensors include proximity, accelerometer, compass, gyro, barometer, and fingerprint (under display, optical).
The smartphone is powered by a 4300 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 25W + fast wireless charging 9W + quick charge 4.0+ + USB Power Delivery 3.0. It was launched in a single color, Aurora Red.
