Negros Occidental Cop Face Dismissal Over Involvement in Illegal Gambling
High-rank police officials orders dismissal against a cop in Negros Occidental who was caught involved in illegal gambling in the province’s town.
Master Sgt. Bebzie Nicor, of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) headquarters, was recognized by the police. Nicor was apprehended in Barangay Quiwi, Hinigaran town, alongside five other people planning a gambling house.
“I do not tolerate (this) so effective immediately while being investigated, I relieved her from my office for the conduct of an impartial investigation,” said Col. Romy Palgue, director of the provincial police.

Nicor will be prosecuted for breaking Presidential Decree 1602. Palgue stated the police officers involved in illegal activities including gambling will be immediately punished, adding that President Rodrigo Duterte already announces the procedure.
“We have a standard and there is guidance from the PNP chief. In fact, our President has a pronouncement on the involvement of police officers in gambling activities, ”Palgue added.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) arrested four out of five cops allegedly suspects for kidnapping and burning a female online seller in Nueva Ecija.
The victim allegedly booked a ride from a grab driver to deliver something from a customer in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija. However, when they departed right after the transaction but were stopped along the way by five armed guys in a pick-up truck and two motorcycles.
The armed men even steal the money and the smartphone of the grab driver after taking him and Nadia to what appeared to be a safehouse. The members of the AKG were able to locate the safehouse in Brgy. Tagpos thanks to the information provided by the grab driver.
