3 Korean Nationals Arrested Over Involvement in Online Gambling and Human Trafficking
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel arrested three (3) Korean nationals over involvement in online gambling and human trafficking.
According to the report, three Korean nationals operating online gaming sites in Pampanga were apprehended by immigration officials. The suspects were apprehended in Timog Park Subdivision, Angeles City, Pampanga, according to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.

According to Morente, he said Lee Jongdae, 38, and Sun Dong Ho, 39, both wanted in Seoul, South Korea, were apprehended, together with Kim Dong Heon, 31. The three are currently awaiting deportation at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
“Let their arrest serve as a warning to other unscrupulous aliens that they should not use the Philippines as a venue for their illegal activities,” Morente said.
Based on the report, a district court in Chungcheong province has issued an arrest warrant for Lee, who is accused of setting up gambling establishments in contravention of South Korea’s penal law. Meanwhile, Sun has been accused of using websites he allegedly ran in 2014 to engage in sexual exploitation and prostitution.
Sun was also allegedly involved in the prostitution of Filipino women for Korean patrons, according to him. Morente claims that the Korean national has committed a heinous crime against Filipino ladies.
“He committed a very serious offense against our Filipino women. It is only proper that he be deported and blacklisted for what he did,” Morente further said.
