Toni Gonzaga talked about parenting with Paul Soriano
Celebrity couple Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano see the pandemic as a gift for them in the aspect of being a couple and parents.
The entertainment industry also embraced the work-from-home setup. Aside from the lock-in tapings, or shoots for just a short period of time, most of the events are being done online.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Toni and Paul were able to saw the advantage of the current situation. “Actually, me and Paul, we are really homebodies. So, this is such a gift for us now that we are able to stay home 24/7,” the actress-host said.
Toni Gonzaga added that before, she and her husband were both busy. Now that they got to stay at home, they are treasuring every moment that they are together with their son Seve.
“I think that’s the gift of this whole pandemic. Of course, there’s so much fear outside, there’s so much uncertainty. But I think it’s very important that when you’re at home, you get the security and the love from your family. And that really keeps us together and stronger as a family,” she said. For the film director, this current situation is a “silver lining”. This gave him the chance to bond more with his family.
Toni, on the other hand, admitted that during the first two months, the challenge was there, especially that Seve was wondering why they were not going out. With this, they became innovative in coping up with the things that make their son happy.
“Seve likes to make tents or forts out of our furniture, old bedsheets, even clothes, and we do all these (things) in his room. And then, we also set up some sort of a cinema for him. So, you know, we get to stream a lot of his favorite cartoons. We’re trying to watch a lot of the classic films also,” Direk Paul shared.
Toni Gonzaga also shared that Seve’s first schooling experience is online but she is happy that her son is learning.
