Man Escapes Quarantine Hotel Using Bed Sheets In Australia

MAN ESCAPES QUARANTINE HOTEL – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, quarantines are among the first protocols for someone positive for the COVID-19.

However, despite quarantines being implemented for the safety of others, some choose to be selfish. As such, they go to extreme lengths to get away from quarantine much like this man from Australia.

According to reports, an individual identified as Travis Jay Myles from Queensland was arrested after escaping from his quarantine hotel in Perth. He managed to escape using bedsheets tied together much like in an old 90s movie.

But, it seemed effective as he was able to climb down all the way from the fourth floor. Fortunately, authorities were quick to respond and he was arrested shortly after.

Apparently, Myles came from a flight from Brisbane on Monday afternoon. Afterward, he couldn’t enter Perth due to COVID-19 protocols. Despite filling out a G2G travel pass, authorities said he failed to meet entry requirements.

Because of this, Myles was placed in a hotel in Rivervale and was scheduled for a flight out of Queensland the next day. This led Myles to attempt a daring escape from the quarantine hotel.

Sadly, his escape only lasted for eight hours after police found him on Beaufort Street in Mt Lawley. Luckily, the escapee tested negative for COVID-19. Still, due to his failure to comply with COVID-19 protocol and providing false information, an arrest was due.

Now, instead of being in the comfort of a hotel, Myles is staying under police custody till the end of his hearing.
