Biden Emphasized Social Media Misinformation On COVID-19 Killing People
SOCIAL MEDIA MISINFORMATION – According to United States President Joe Biden, fake news and ill-informed posts about COVID-19 is killing people amid the pandemic.
For years, social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter had been a zest pool of misinformation. As such, a critical need for filtering posts has been called on by many netizens, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In the U.S., a larger percentage of residents still play down the severity of COVID-19. Because of this, the U.S., still remains as one of the hardest COVID-hit countries in the world despite an abundance of vaccines.

Because of this, President Joe Biden made a statement that misinformation about the virus and the vaccine are “killing people”. According to an article from ABS-CBN, Biden said:
They’re killing people. The only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated. And they’re killing people
With the continued rise in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, one recurring pattern was brought to light – infections of the unvaccinated. Along with this, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky stated:
There is a clear message that is coming through: this is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Many of those who remained unvaccinated are people who are highly skeptical about the vaccines. For some, the vaccines are merely a ploy by the democratic party to assume government control. Meanwhile, others say vaccines cause major side-effects such as being magnetic.
