ARTA-CIDG Arrest Fixer During Entrapment Operation & File Case vs LTO Caloocan Chief

ARTA-CIDG to File Case vs LTO Caloocan Chief Over Inaction on Proliferating Fixers

ARTA-CIDG was able to arrest a fixer during an entrapment operation and would file a case against LTO Caloocan chief.

The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” reported that the ARTA-CIDG would file charges against Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Caloocan for inaction on proliferating fixers. The post garnered various reactions online.

The page narrated that the numbers of fixers standing in front of LTO main office disappeared after ARTA conducted an entrapment operation. The agency was also able to arrest a fixer in Caloocan.

Fixer

However, a few weeks after the operation, fixers gradually returned to the officers forcing ARTA to run another entrapment operation. Other fixers are standing far away from LTO offices pretending to be regular citizens.

ARTA said that they are hoping to arrest them in future operation. Secretary Jeremiah Belgica said that the agency would file a case against LTO Caloocan Division Chief and barangay officials in the area.

Fixer

Here is the full post:

Remember last month when ARTA ran an entrapment operation against a fixer in front of LTO Main?

Since that time, the big group of fixers that used to stand in front of LTO have disappeared

ARTA also had a fixer arrested during an entrapment operation in Caloocan.

But when they went back a couple of weeks later, there were still fixers and again they performed an arrest during another entrapment operation.

ARTA are going to file a case against LTO Caloocan Division Chief for inaction on proliferating fixers.

P.S: yes I know there’s still some fixers hiding in the bushes along East Avenue, pretending to be regular people standing on the street. But they’re far away from the LTO office and they might still get caught in future operations. Either way, it’s a HUGE improvement.
