Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla Announces Videoke Ban 24/7
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla announced the 24/7 videoke ban in the town to avoid the noise disturbances amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Remulla announced on his Facebook live that the Cavite local government unit would implement stricter rules and regulations in the city when it comes in using videoke machines. The LGU would prohibit the use of videoke 24/7.
Cavite’s previous ordinance allows the usage of videoke from 5:00 pm in the afternoon until 8:00 pm in the evening. The announcement has been made for the sake of employees under work-from-home arrangement and students who were attending online classes.
The government wants to reduce the noise pollution in the area amid the coronavirus pandemic but the entrepreneurs with videoke business expressed their dismay due to the new measure.
However, there are some individuals who were hoping that the government would allow the usage of videoke. Some videoke owners would find for other customers in Las Piñas, Parañaque and Pasay.
As of this writing, there is no official ordinance declaring the 24/7 videoke ban in Cavite, according to Gov. Remulla.

Under the Cavite Provincial Ordinance No. 304-2020, violators would be fined with P1, 000 and could face 30-day imprisonment.
