Liza Soberano gets asked about the bashers of her dubbing for ‘Trese’
Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano shared what she felt about the bashing she received because of her dubbing stint for the Pinoy anime series Trese.
Although Liza’s voice acting for Alexandra Trese is being admired by many still there were those who expressed negative comments on this. There were those who criticized that she did not give justice to the lead role.
When asked about the bashing, based on the article in Bandera, Liza Soberano said that she did not feel angry. “Just like any universe like Harry Potter or maybe Marvel or the DC universe, their supporters are very protective of those universes and those characters. They only want the best for it,” the Kapamilya actress said. She added that she understands if there were those who did not like her voice or being cast as Alexandra Trese.
On the other hand, Liza said that doing this dubbing stint made her learn a lot. She enjoyed it and after doing it for two days with six hours each day, the actress said that she kind of had separation anxiety.
Liza enjoyed this stint so much that she wanted to do it again if given the opportunity. The actress admitted that voice acting never crossed her mind before. “I never thought I would be given the opportunity honestly. It’s not something I was curious or passionate about before,” she said.
To recall, Ogie Diaz, the manager of Liza Soberano, said that the actress did not audition for the role, Netflix Philippines offered her the project.
