EDSA Traffic Expected As Skyway Stage 3 Begins Toll Fee

MMDA Tells Private Vehicle Owners Traffic Expected In EDSA Due To Skyway Tolls

EDSA TRAFFIC EXPECTED – According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), people can expect traffic starting Monday.

Recently, Skyway Stage 3 announced they would start requiring a toll fee from private vehicle owners. As such, MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said:

Kung sa Monday ay medyo sumikip ng konti sa EDSA, please consider these Mabuhay Lanes. Maganda ito, shortcut ito. It’s practically simple. Kung galing ka norte at punta ka south, dito ka na dumaan. This is alternative route

Furthermore, the MMDA Chairman said they are already arranging 19 ‘Mabuhay Lanes’ or routes that can be traversed as an alternative to EDSA. As such, new signs were put up on various roads designated Mabuhay Lanes so as not to confuse motorists.

In order to make the roadways safer, the agency wants to execute another clearing operation. Because many routes are blocked by tents and other impediments as a result of the pandemic, barangay coordination is also required.

Moreover, according to an article from ABS-CBN, the MMDA Chairman stated:

Yung ibang mga espasyo ginamit ng LGU. Di natin masisisi dahil ‘yung iba para sa bakuna na apektado sila, ‘yung iba naman naparadahan papunta sa bakuna center. We want to make sure before Monday all of these routes are very clear and very clean for everyone
