However, according to Edwin, another eyewitness, the victim identified as Kevin Reyes, was able to recover for a little period of time after being pushed into the hot spring, then gets up to curse his companion. The victim supposedly did not float after that.
“Pagtulak po sa kaniya, lumubog po siya mga 3 minutes, tapos lumutang po siya. Paglutang po niyo, nagmura pa siya,” said “Edwin.”
Because the search was hampered by rain, it took nearly two hours to find Reyes’ body. According to the barangay, they are still investigating if his friends were intoxicated with alcohol at the time of the accident.
Authorities are still looking into whether the friend who pushed was to blame. To determine the true cause of death, a copy of the victim’s death certificate is required.
