Here’s the official trailer of “Sing 2”
Illumination finally released the official trailer of Sing 2, and this revealed the plot of the animated film and new characters that will surely leave a mark in the hearts of music enthusiasts.
The first film of this animated franchise was released in 2016 and indeed it was a hit. For the sequel, the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon, prepares his all-star cast to have the most extravagant performance they could pull, so far, based on the article in Inquirer.
In order to impress mogul wolf Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale), the owner of the world-famous Crystal Entertainment, Gunter (Nick Kroll) pitches an outrageous idea that Buster runs with.
Gunter nonchalantly promised to include in the new show lion rock legend Clay Calloway (Bono). However, there was one major problem. Gunter has not met Calloway who isolated himself from the world when he lost his wife more than a decade ago.
The trailer showed how mother pig Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), rocker porcupine Ash (Scarlett Johansson), earnest gorilla Johnny (Taron Egerton), shy elephant Meena (Tori Kelly) and the rest of the gang take remarkable efforts for the show that they aim to be a spectacular one while convincing a lion to join them.
Also included in the cast in Sing 2 are music superstar Pharrell Williams, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright, and comedians Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti. The sequel of the musical animated film promises an inspiring story that revolves around the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.
Sing 2, produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and by Janet Healy, is set to be released in 2022.
