Health Worker Improper Jab of COVID-19 Vaccine Caught on Camera

The Department of Health (DOH) orders probe against a health worker who was caught on camera doing an improper jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.

In collaboration with the local government, the DOH is investigating the violation of the vaccination protocol and reminding all vaccine providers to stay focused on vaccination. In connection with this, the DOH stated that they were aware of a viral video depicting a vaccine recipient who did not receive the correct dose due to a faulty vaccinator.

This is certainly a “breach of vaccination policy,” according to the Department of Health. The recipient was recorsiding his immunization when the healthcare staff failed to push the contents of the syringe, as seen in the viral video.

The mistake was immediately addressed at the vaccination site. As a result, the recipient was successfully vaccinated after showing the video to the vaccination team, according to a DOH statement.

In this regard, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III assured the public that they will not ignore the incident and immediate protection improvements will be made to ensure that the chances of it happening again are limited.

“Sinisigurado po namin na ating iimbestigahan ang pangyayaring ito upang mapabuti ang ating national vaccination program. Sa pagdating ng mas maraming bakuna sa bansa, we will continue to improve our speed, scale, and quality of service, ”Duque said.
