Bernadet claims she misplaced the bag containing the money while waiting for the public market to open, based on the report of GMA News’s “Pusuan na Yan.” Fortunately, Staff Sergeant Bernard Dalisay found the bag, which he had mistaken for rubbish.

He then proceeded to the market to find the owner, but there was no one there. Mateo’s identification card was discovered inside the bag at the police station, leading them to the couple’s home.

The couple, however, was not present when we arrived at the property. The couple was summoned to the mayor’s office, where they ultimately got the majority of the money from the cops. Bernadet expressed gratitude to Dalisay for returning the sack containing their savings.
