The Blackview BV5500 Plus was officially announced in May 2020. The rugged smartphone is built with a glass front/titanium polycarbonate rubber. It measures 152.2 x 75.5 x 14 mm and weighs 250 grams.

Blackview BV5500 Plus comes with a screen size of 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio. It has the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The rugged phone is powered by Mediatek MT6739V (32 nm) processor coupled with PowerVR GE8100 graphics processing unit (GPU). It runs on the Android 10 operating system.

Blackview BV5500 Plus is packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Ion 4400 mAh battery.

The phone’s sensors include a compass, accelerometer, and proximity. It also features MicroUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go (OTG), Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, and FM radio. It was launched in Yellow, Green, and Black colors.

The rear side of the rugged phone sports a dual-camera that consists of 8-megapixel + 0.3-megapixel with features like panorama, HDR, and touch focus. For clicking selfies and self-shooting videos, there is a single camera on the front that features a 5-megapixel camera.
