Minor in Laguna Allegedly Fought Back to Police During Anti-Drug Ops Killed
A 16-year-old minor boy was killed after he allegedly fought back to the police forces during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Laguna.
In Bian City, Laguna, a 16-year-old boy and his buddy were slain in an anti-illegal narcotics operation. The suspect was said to have resisted, but the relatives disputed this.
According to the relatives of the murdered minor, Jhondy Maglinte Helis, the police claimed that he resisted being served with an arrest warrant and was killed as a result of his resistance. However, according to Helis’ aunt Nylla Maglinte, another story reached them that the kid begged not to be killed while being shackled.

Helis and his accomplice Antonio Castillo Dalit are the most sought people in Laguna, according to the police report. They were slain in a gunfight with cops who were attempting to apprehend them for breaking the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to police, Dalit and Helis pulled out their weapons and fired at officers, leading in an altercation. At the scene of the alleged encounter, the SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operation) team conducted a technical investigation.
According to the police report, at least 13 medium plastic sachets carrying shabu worth P340,000 were allegedly retrieved from the victims. The two were also found with two caliber 38 revolvers, P3,500 in cash, a digital weighing scale, and many pieces of illegal drug paraphernalia.
Maglinte, on the other hand, stated that his family is seeking justice for his nephew’s alleged treatment by the police. Maglinte stated that the cops were after Dalit, not Helis.
“Justice lang hiningi ko para sa pamangkin ko. Kung may mali man siya or wala hindi dapat pinatay nila. Nagmamakaawa sa kanila binaril pa rin nila nang brutal,” sabi ni Maglinte.
