DOLE Gives Incentives For Vaccinated Workers With "Baksikleta" Program

Recently, DOLE announced that they would be giving away bicycles and other goodies for fully inoculated employees through its “Baksikleta” program. According to an article from Inquirer, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said:

Starting July 1, those who are vaccinated will receive bikes, along with bag and a cellphone with P5,000 load. Get vaccinated and DOLE will give a little incentive

Furthermore, Bello stated that 1,000 essential workers from the National Capital Region (NCR) and another thousand from other areas are covered by the program. However, despite the encouragement to get vaccinated, a “no vaccine no work policy” is still prohibited.

Meanwhile, in a barangay in Muntinlupa, officials have promoted a “Rice for Vaccination” raffle. Here, residents that received at least one shot of a coronavirus vaccine gets a chance to win rice and other goods.

On the other hand, a small village in India had a cow that was up for raffle for people who had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
