QC Cop Not Wearing Face Shield While Apprehending Violator Criticized Online
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Guillermo Eleazar questioned the Quezon City (QC) cop for not wearing face shield while apprehending protocol violators.
Eleazar questioned the QCPD about why some of their officers are not wearing face shields while implementing the quarantine policy. Eleazar’s order gained traction after a viral video surfaced showing numerous officers of QC Police Station 16 arresting bus passengers without face shields.

Those who broke the law were issued a ticket and fined P300. One of the victims, a netizen, expressed his displeasure. Police officers who caught them not wearing face shields also commit the same offense, according to the video.
He claims that the issue of wearing face shields needs to be explained because the officers who arrest them do not wear them. Police officers at a checkpoint in the city may be seen wearing no face shields in a video posted on Facebook by a netizen.
The quarantine violation can be seen in the footage expressing his disappointment when the police officers pushed him to exit the bus. The policemen allegedly accused them of not wearing face shields, despite the fact that they were wearing them at the time. After the officer apprehended them, one of the complainants stated that she had lost her face shield.
“How will civilians follow the rules and regulations or ordinances if our law enforcers do not?” Eleazar said. The PNP chief also urged the people to report police infractions or wrongdoings via E-Sumbong platforms.
