Male Suspect Attacks 72-Year-Old Grandma Using Axe In Her Own House

A 72-year-old grandma suffered wounds and injuries after a male suspect attacked her using an axe due to land argument.

The grandma identified as Asuncion Acabado Obis obtained wounds after a 65-year-old suspect attacked her using an axe at her home in Nabua, Camarines Sur. the incident started due to alleged feud about a land property.

The suspect identified as Juan Obis Palomar was the victim’s brother-in-law. Juan allegedly break into the Asuncion’s house at Zone 6, La Opinion in Nabua without permission and mercilessly attacked the victim.

Nabua Municipal Police Station reported that the incident allegedly happened on Monday (June 14, 2021) at 5:30 am. The authorities have no further regarding Palomar’s reason for attacking his sister-in-law.

The elderly victim obtained wound in the head after struck by a steel hatchet axe. The grandma has been immediately rushed to the nearest health institution. The suspect even tried to escape.

Eventually, the authorities were able to arrest the suspect and the weapon used for the crimes has been recovered. Nabua Municipal Police Station is eyeing at the land argument as the reason behind the incident.
