Operatives Seized 155 Kilos of Illegal Drugs Worth Over P1-B During Operation

Philippine anti-narcotic agencies seized 155 kilos of illegal drugs called “shabu” worth over P1 billion during the anti-drug operation.

On Sunday, authorities confiscated over 155 kilograms of suspected shabu worth an estimated P1.053 billion in two separate narcotics busts. During anti-narcotics operations, members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police apprehended two purported Chinese nationals.

During an anti-illegal narcotics operation in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Brgy. Baclaran, Paraaque City at around 3:30 p.m., PDEA and PNP troops seized 38 kilos of suspected shabu. The street value of the suspected drugs was estimated to be P257.8 million.

In a narcotics bust conducted at 4 p.m. in Villa Nicacia, Tanza Numa 6, Aguinaldo Highway in Imus, Cavite, law enforcement agents confiscated 117 kilograms of suspected shabu. The narcotics haul was believed to be worth P795.6 million. During the drug operations, several automobiles were also seized.

Meanwhile, anti-narcotic operatives arrested a barangay kagawad over illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Abilay Norte, Oton, Iloilo. The operatives allegedly paid P5,000 for a sachet of suspected shabu.

He was also found with 15 more sachets of shabu worth P100,000, two weapons, and ammo. The suspect, who delivers drugs to Iloilo City and nearby provinces, is considered a high-value target by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 6.
