2 Traffic Enforcers Killed After Being Shot by Unknown Suspects in Bulacan
Two (2) men who were both traffic enforcers died at the hospital after being shot by riding in tandem suspects in Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
Two traffic cops were killed in Bulacan Province after being shot by an unidentified gunman while having dinner. When the incident occurred at a restaurant at Pacheco St., Brgy. Calvario, Meycauayan, the aforementioned province, he died at 7:00 p.m.
Manny Alcanar, 50, of the aforementioned area, and Danilo Nunez, 43, of Brgy. Lias, Marilao, were all traffic enforcers in the region, according to Police Chief Lt.Col. Bernard Pagaduan of the Meycauayan Police.

Unexpectedly, an unidentified assailant approached them and shot Alcanar in the head, followed by Nuez, who managed to flee but was wounded in the hip. The culprit escaped soon after the incident, but the two Meycauayans were swiftly rescued.
The rescue team was taken to Meycauayan Doctors Hospital, but Alcanar died shortly after arriving, and Nuez was slain the next day. Authorities believe Alcanar is the genuine target of the suspect, whose purpose is linked to their occupation.
This comes after it was determined that the victim’s social media account had a recent message that threatened his life. The investigation is still ongoing, with police collecting CCTV evidence from the area where the crime may have occurred.
