Police Force Who Responded in Burned Cell Site Got Ambushed in Legaspi City
A vehicle carrying police force who responded in a cell site allegedly burned in Legaspi City got ambushed by unknown suspects.
In Barangay Homapon, Legazpi City, a female lawyer was hurt when bullets struck the vehicle she was driving. The lawyer’s vehicle was hit after an ambush on his police mobile, according to Captain Benhur Ariola of Homapon.

According to reports, the officers were on their way home to their station after the investigation on the burned cell site in their barangay. However, before the ambush, a loud explosion happened on the side of the road, with shrapnel striking a family’s traveling tricycle.
The three tricycle riders were only slightly hurt after the explosion. The officers who were involved in the ambush have yet to give an official statement on the matter.
“The police came from the barangay hall because they investigated the fire at this cell site. After they left, maybe about 2 to 3 minutes later we heard a loud explosion and gunfire,” said Ariola.
