Holdupper Shocked After Victim was Allegedly His Friend Goes Viral

Video footage shows a hilarious incident where a holdupper suddenly cancelled his robbery against his victim after finding out it was his friend.

Robbery is now one of the most popular crimes committed in many countries all over the world. To avoid falling prey to robbery plots, the public was advised to be more aware of their surroundings.

The Philippine government also enhanced police visibility in an effort to lower the country’s criminality rate. Criminals, on the other hand, continue to engage in illicit acts for personal gain.

A Facebook page called Lazadaks recently uploaded footage from a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera showing a robbery. The thief was wearing a red jacket and helmet in the footage, and his accomplice was waiting on the motorcycle for an immediate getaway.

The suspect approached the victim, who was seated on the sidewalk, and claimed a robbery. The victim appeared to be resisting at first, but eventually gave up his bag as the suspect pointed a lethal weapon at him.

The victim abruptly removed his mask after a few minutes, revealing his face. The suspect was taken aback when he learned that he was one of his friends.

The thief called off his heist and returned the stuff he had planned to steal from the victim. He even gave his friend a hug and informed his accomplice that it was their mutual acquaintance.

The hilarious incident went viral on social media and elicited a lot of responses from internet users. Some netizens had hilarious reactions, while others felt it was planned or scripted.
