Being a beauty queen was not the original dream of Kylie Verzosa
Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa admitted that being a beauty queen was not always her dream but this thing happened.
Kylie joined the Binibining Pilipinas in the same year and that gave her the chance to win an international beauty pageant crown. Talking to Inquirer Lifestyle, she said, “I didn’t always dream of becoming a beauty queen.
We were meant to climb the corporate ladder in school.”
She shared that it was as glamorous as other people may think. Kylie stressed the hard work it requires to earn the crown. Then, she shared that when she did not win during her first try, this made her more determined to win the next pageant.
Kylie Verzosa described her Bb. Pilipinas journey as a waking up routine every day telling herself that she will win the crown. “I didn’t go out, I didn’t party, I didn’t drink, I didn’t see my friends for a year because I was just so focused. I only had this one chance. I couldn’t screw it up,” she said about the sacrifices that she did.
She added that when she does something, her heart is always focusing on the goal. Kylie brought that attitude when she became a full-fledge actress. This profession has always been her childhood dream.
“I wanted to be on TV; I wanted to be in the movies. But I was always told that I was too tall, so I found modeling first. I used to dorm in Ateneo because I’m from Baguio. On my dorm wall, I would stick the magazine photos I liked. I didn’t realize that was my vision board,” Kylie Verzosa shared.
When asked about the magazine photos she posted on her wall, she revealed that there was nothing about beauty queen. She would collect photos of models.
