The online community praises a lady police officer for not hesitating to breastfeed an infant she found crying loudly in Quezon City.

She was walking to their clean-up drive and feeding program in Quezon City when she heard pitiful weeping from afar, according to the police officer. Aguada investigated further and discovered a little home where the noises were coming from.

She discovered a young infant, perhaps no more than a few months old, who appeared hungry and uncomfortable. According to her, the infant boy’s hands were clinched, most likely due to hunger, and he wore only a diaper.

The police officer chose to breastfeed and calm the infant because she was a new mother herself and had some milk in her breast. Until the baby’s parents returned, the breastfeeding continued for around half an hour.

“I guess I had a mother’s instinct because as a mom, you will really feel that he needed help and I saw that his diaper was also full of dirt. I transferred my love from my own child. I thought of the child because it’s like it was my baby that I saw,” the police officer said.

She went on to tell the parents that children, particularly babies, should not be left alone. PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar praised Aguada’s fast action when he learned of her good deed.

“We saw that in any situation, the police are ready to serve. I salute you,” Gen. Eleazar said.
