Call Center Agent Falls on 3rd Floor While Chasing Fallen Cigarette and Died

CALL CENTER AGENT DIED – A fallen piece of cigarette resulted in the death of a call center trainee after he fell on the third floor of the building for chasing it in Davao City.

Kevin Perez Galanero, 37, of Davao City’s Barangay 39D Trading Boulevard, was the victim, according to San Pedro Police. Konektors Technologies Incorporated’s trainee was the victim.

The victim was apparently taking a breaktime and was in the smoking area on the third floor of the building past 12:00 midnight on May 25, 2021 when the disaster occurred, according to the Sunstar Davao story.

The victim and other coworkers allegedly went to the Anda Corporate Building’s smoking area to smoke. The victim apparently dropped from the third level after letting go of the cigarette he was attempting to catch.

Members of Central 911 came to the victim’s aid and took him to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC). He was declared dead around 1:50 a.m., though. In this context, the authorities emphasized the importance of staying vigilant at all times to avoid mishaps, particularly at work.
