Mario Maurer has finally spoken on the issue with a “Filipino personality”
Thai superstar Mario Maurer has broken his silence on the issue involving him and Filipino comedienne-singer Kakai Bautista.
In a recently-released statement from Kris Chaovalit, a representative of Mario stated that the actor was surprised upon knowing his name is being used for a false narrative, based on the article in PUSH.
Although Mario’s representative did not mention the name of the Filipino personality, it was Kakai Bautista who received a demand letter from the firm managing the Thai actor to stop talking about him in interviews.
“With regards to all the false stories made by this Filipino personality against Thai celebrity Mario Maurer and his management team, as well as our partner representative in the Philippines, we asked Mario directly for clarity and to shed light on the matter,” Mario Maurer’s representative said.
The representative added that the Thai actor was surprised that his name has been a hot topic on social media and news outlets in the Philippines as well as the news but it was a “false narrative” that the Filipino personality has spread.
Chaovalit also said that Mario explained the reason why he acknowledged the friendship that he had with the female personality back then, eight years ago when he did a movie with Erich Gonzales that also included Kakai as one of the cast members.
“He acknowledged that by nature, he is merely being accommodating and respectful at the time. But that does not mean this person should use his welcoming hospitality to invent stories beyond working with Mario,” the representative of the Thai actor said.
Behind the bashing that Mario Maurer received from the fans of the Filipino personality, he said that he has no ill feelings towards her.
“Mario wishes her well and hopes that she finally stops spreading these false fantasy stories about him being involved with her romantically when it has always been just a cordial work-related tie between them,” Chaovalit said.
