TikTok Issues Statement After Jam Magno Was Permanently Banned from Platform

JAM MAGNO – The popular short-video platform, TikTok has given its official statement with regards to the permanent banning of social media influencer Jam Magno,

Social media personality Jam Magno is a known avid supporter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She criticized Miss Universe Philippines 2020, Rabiya Mateo, during the Miss U competition.

She bashed the Ilongga beauty queen’s national costume, her performance during the preliminary competition, and the coronation night. She uploaded a video after Rabiya failed to enter the Top 10 of the international pageant.

Her name became a trending topic on all social media platforms as fans of Rabiya claps back at her. On May 20, Jam Magno again became a trending topic on Twitter after she was permanently banned from the popular short-video platform, TikTok. She took to her Facebook page to air her sentiments.

She said that being banned from a social media site is not new to her. She wrote, “Let me remind you that being banned on TilTok is NOT new to me and I came back from it before. I am still going to Live regardless and being declared PNG [persona non grata] even more so. You have got to do better than that losers. Hahahaha. Pildi na Bugo pa.”

In a statement to Rappler, the video-sharing app said that they will be banning accounts that have been involved in violations. They also said they will not disclose other information publicly.

“TikTok reserves the right to take action against any content or user that violates our Community Guidelines. The Community Guidelines helps TikTok prioritize safety, diversity, inclusion, and authenticity, thus ensuring not only the safety of the community, but also to foster kindness within the platform.”

“We will suspend or ban accounts and/or devices that are involved in severe or repeated violations and will consider information available on other platforms and offline in these decisions but do not disclose it publicly.”
