Janine Gutierrez shared her thoughts on showbiz rejections
Award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez revealed that she feels that rejections in the entertainment industry are “very harsh”.
Coming from a popular showbiz clan, Janine has paved her own way to stardom. She was able to do projects that made critics recognize her acting prowess.
During a recent thanksgiving media conference for her new movie Dito At Doon with JC Santos, Janine shared that there’s a lot of roles that she still wants to explore, based on the article in Bandera.
Doing these various roles are all challenging for her. For Janine, every role brings a different kind of challenge. On the other hand, she specifically mentioned the movie ‘Elise’ as her favorite story.
“Pero ever since naman nu’ng ginawa ko ‘yung ‘Elise’, parang ‘yun talaga ‘yung film na naisip ko na gustung-gusto ko ‘yung kuwento. And parang ‘yung feeling ko talaga makakarating sa manonood ‘yung gusto naming sabihin at gusto naming gawin. So ‘yun lang talaga ‘yung goal ko,” Janine Gutierrez said.
When asked about the most challenging role for her, the actress said that when it comes to the physical aspect, she said that it would be the role that needed her to wear prosthetics.
Aside from this, Janine said that emotionally, the most challenging for her is the rejection in showbiz. “Very harsh ang rejection sa industriyang ito and ‘yung wala kang magagawa, wala kang control kasi siyempre bilang artista nag-o-audition ka,” she shared.
However, she can do nothing about this as producers were the ones who choose the talent and for her, it feels like they are really in control of one’s career.
