The coronation night of Bb Pilipinas and Miss World Philippines is set to happen on the same date
The Miss World Philippines has already announced the date of its coronation night and this is set to happen on the same date that the Bb Pilipinas announced.
Pageant fans in the Philippines were surprised that the two of the major national beauty pageants in the country will compete in viewership for the coronation night.
On May 20, MWP has announced the official candidates for the 2021 competition. Last year, it has postponed the pageant due to the pandemic. It was also announced that it will hold its coronation night on July 11, 2020. However, the venue was not confirmed yet.
Based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the Miss World Philippines Organization is planning to hold the event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. However, this would likely change because of the history of Bb Pilipinas, the pageant night is also being held at the Big Dome. Since the two coronation nights will be happening on the same date, the initial plan of MWP might change.
On May 21, Miss Grand International 1st runner-up Samantha Bernardo revealed during the virtual welcome press conference that the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. held for her that the coronation night is on July 11, 2021. The BPCI has postponed the pageant that was set to happen last year.
