A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz was asked by Wowowin host Willie Revillame the reason for his showbiz hiatus almost four years ago.
At that time when Lloydie announced his indefinite leave of absence, the showbiz industry was shocked because he was still doing his sitcom Home Sweetie Home with Toni Gonzaga. When he temporarily left, Piolo Pascual entered the show.
For a couple of years, Lloydie enjoyed his life away from the glitz and glamour of showbiz. He was seen walking and mingling with people in the streets like he is not a celebrity.
Many of his fans felt happy for that kind of life for him as he as seen enjoying the simplest thing that he has while there were those who were still anticipating for his return to acting.
Just recently, John Lloyd Cruz was spotted with Willie Revillame and this arose speculations that they might be doing a project together soon after the A-list actor was announced as one of the stars of Crown Artist Management.
Based on the article in PEP, Lloydie visited Kuya Wil’s resort, the Puerto Galerana Wil’s Cove, together with some friends. The A-list actor and the game show host were able to have a conversation about life. One of the topics they talked about was the showbiz hiatus of Lloydie.
“Actually, gusto ko lang batiin ang kaibigan nating si John Lloyd. Kagabi kasama ko siya, nasa Puerto Galera kami. Nagkuwentuhan kami sa buhay. Tinanong ko siya, ‘Bakit ka ba huminto?’” Kuya Wil shared during the recent episode of his game show.
The host said that Lloydie shared his story and the reason for his decision to take a break from all his showbiz engagements.
“Alam mo, maganda yung mga rason niya, e. ‘Paminsan nabe-burnout ka na. Ito na lang po ginagawa ko araw-araw. Paggising ko, shooting. Pagtulog ko, paggising ko, shooting,’” Kuya Wil said.
The veteran game show host interpreted the decision of John Lloyd Cruz as giving himself time to rest and prioritizing himself first.
