Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte – A farm owner let half-hectare of bell peppers to get rotten due to the massive amount of loss.

About half-hectare of bell peppers was about to get spoiled after the owner suffered massive amount of loss due to the decreasing prices of the product. They let the crop to be consumed by animals in the area.

The farm owner said that the price of bell pepper dropped to P5 per kilogram only. The owner would experience a lot of losses if they would spend money to hire personnel for the harvest. The labor cost would be more expensive compared to their expected profit.
