Wife Accused as Illegal Drug Peddler Arrested in Buy-Bust Ops in Lucena
Authorities arrested a wife who was accused as illegal drug peddler in a buy-bust operation conducted in Lucena City, Quezon.
Tuesday morning in Barangay 4, Lucena City, Quezon, a 46-year-old woman was arrested in a buy-bust operation. A police officer claimed to be a drug buyer, and the woman was caught in the middle of it.

Apart from the money from the buy-bust operation, the suspect also found 41 plastic sachets containing only suspected shabu weighing 205 grams. The illicit drugs seized were worth a total of P4,182,000 on the market.
A brown bag, two wallets, a box of LED light, a digital weighing scale, and three sets of identity cards were also seized. According to police, the suspect’s arrest would minimize drug availability in Lucena City.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) intercepted a package containing party drugs (Ketamine) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). The “claimant” of a shipment of luggage that only contained a bag of coffee and where the drugs were discovered was also detained.
A coffee box containing 622 grams of Ketamine valued at P3,110,000 was found in the luggage. The package labeled as “snacks” were detected when it was subjected to non-intrusive x-ray scanning by the X-ray Inspection Project (XIP NAIA) and K-9 sweeping.
