NPA High-rank Officer Arrested in Cebu in a Manhunt Operation
An alleged high-rank officer of New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested in Cebu during the manhunt operation of authorities.
Authorities captured a suspected NPA high-ranking officer during a manhunt operation in Poblacion 3, Carcar City, Cebu. Deonesio Doloretos Indoyon, also known as alias Ronie Indoyon, was the arrested NPA ranking officer.

Indoyon is the Deputy Secretary of Guerrilla Front Committee (GFC) 14 of the Sub-Regional Committee Southland, North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee of the NPA, according to Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat Jr., Director of the Police Regional Office of Caraga Region (PRO-13).
GFC 14 is rumored to be active in the provinces of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur. Indoyon has been charged with numerous murders and attempted murders, abduction and extreme unlawful imprisonment, and damaging arson, according to several arrest warrants.
“Indoyon, considered as a notorious NPA leader in the region, is also listed in the First Quarter 2019 PRO-13 Periodic Status Report,” Caramat further said.
Meanwhile, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) will look into the suspected fake “mass surrenders” of 244 New People’s Army (NPA) members in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, in April. These recommendations, according to CHR spokesperson Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, should be supported by the respective regional offices.
