Ruffa Gutierrez has a beauty queen offer to Janine Gutierrez in the past
Actress Janine Gutierrez shared that she turned down the offer of her aunt Ruffa Gutierrez to make her a beauty queen due to this reason.
Ruffa, aside from her showbiz stints, also entered the world of pageantry. She was hailed as the Miss World second-runner up in 1993. It was revealed that she also offered to train her niece Janine to be a beauty queen.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, the new Kapamilya actress has received this offer from her aunt before her career in showbiz soared. Janine Gutierrez shared that reason why she turned it down and she also did not think of joining any pageant.
“Tinatanong ako ni Tita Ruffa before, pero gusto ko talaga mag-artista. Feeling ko, kung ‘yung ibang beauty queen naman pagkatapos nu;n mag-aartista sila, naisip ko, ituloy-tuloy ko na ‘yung pag-aartista ko!” the award-winning actress shared.
In a previous interview, Janine even shared that at first, she was not decided to enter the world of show business. She said that it was because of the fact that she is from a prominent showbiz clan and almost all the members of their family are already in the industry.
However, when she got older, she made the decision to be in showbiz because she really wanted this do and not just because she was told to do so.
Obviously, Janine Gutierrez did a good decision back then, as she is now hailed as one of the most in-demand actresses in her generation. Her Best Actress awards can prove that acting runs in her veins.
